Fifteen Years of Research Behind Every Pathway

MyGooru is built on Navigator Labs' research into personalized navigation, conducted over fifteen years across 110 projects reaching 5.3 million learners worldwide.

Navigator Labs

Navigator Labs is a 501(c)(3) research foundation established to develop the technology behind assured outcomes. Funded by $35M in research awards and philanthropic grants, Navigator Labs has spent fifteen years building, validating, and refining the architecture that MyGooru now brings to enterprises.

The research has spanned K-12 education across the United States, India, Middle East, Zambia, and South Africa; higher education in Hong Kong; the US Department of Defense's Advanced Distributed Learning initiative; nonprofit organizations including GPF and IEC; corporate learning at SAP and Dentsu; and education technology companies including PowerSchool and Stemuli. The breadth of contexts forced the architecture to be domain-general rather than domain-specific.

What the Research Produced

The research produced three foundational components, each protected by a provisional patent. The polyline model digitizes any domain into a navigable map of capabilities, dependencies, and outcomes. The belief network maintains calibrated, plain-language beliefs about every stakeholder, workflow, and tool, with confidence scores connected by coherence edges. The navigation framework generates personalized pathways through formal reasoning grounded in domain principles.

Together these components are MAP — MyGooru AI Pathways — the formal reasoning infrastructure that the company now deploys at twelve enterprises.

Continuing Research

Navigator Labs continues to operate as the research arm. New work focuses on extending the architecture to additional domains, on the formal reasoning capabilities that compound LLM advances, and on the measurement frameworks that prove assured outcomes at enterprise scale.
